The arrest process itself was not without drama. Levy Armstrong's attorney, Jordan Kushner, revealed that agents initially arrested the wrong woman at a Minneapolis hotel. After this mistake, Kushner arranged for Levy Armstrong to surrender herself, but this agreement fell through, leading to her arrest at the hotel.
In her statement, Levy Armstrong highlighted a disturbing trend: the criminalization of dissent and the targeting of Black activists. She expressed gratitude to the community for their support and vowed to continue the fight.
"Our battle continues. We will organize, mobilize, and use the law to ensure justice. We demand all charges be dropped and that those who abused power be held accountable. Justice will prevail."
